What is Ship Plate?

Iron plate / steel plate / ship plate ​is a plate that is different from steel plate in general, this plate has the difference in the form of containing elements other than steel as the main element. The purpose of this mixture is to prevent the rate of corrosion/rust that occurs on ships later due to the influence of sea water. The standard size of ship plates is 5 x 20 feet (1500 x 6000mm) or 6 x 20 feet (1800 x 6000 mm) with thicknesses ranging from 4mm to 25 mm.
